For the purposes of this contract Amy`s Pet Sitting Service and/or their representatives (Independent

Contractor, or employees) will be referred to as PET SITTER and the Pet Owner will be referred to as

OWNER. The parties herein agree to the following terms and conditions.


Overnight care: A minimum deposit of 50% of the total cost of the contract is due at the time of initial consultation or booking (if existing client) and the remaining 50% is to be paid at the beginning of the service.

Daily walks/visits: If paying by credit card, billing can be monthly or biweekly. If paying by cash or check, advance payment is required.

Occasional visits: Full payment is due on the first day service is to begin.

Holidays/Peak Periods: Full payment of services is due at the time of consultation or booking (if existing client).

Gratuities: Can be added to a check, left in cash or added to your order at the time of booking. 


A finance charge of 20% per month will be added to unpaid balances after (30) thirty days. A handling fee of $50.00 or ½ the total amount of the check (whichever is greater) will be added to all returned checks.


If Owner cancels their service entirely a $20.00 fee will apply for all notification less than 7 days prior to scheduled service(s).

Holidays/Peak Periods - If Owner cancels, 50% of entire booking fee will be charged or retained.


Owner will inform their Veterinarian that Amy`s Pet Sitting Service will be caring for their pet(s) in their absence. If possible, Owner will make arrangements to have Veterinarian reimbursed for any service(s) necessary during their absence by leaving their credit card number on file.


If a medical condition arises for Owner`s pet(s), that I or my contractor(s) believe to be an emergency condition, Pet Sitter will make every effort to contact the Owner, but if time is of the essence Owner authorizes Pet Sitter to seek medical services at the closest Veterinarian or Veterinary Hospital. Owner agrees to reimburse Pet Sitter for all services rendered by Veterinarian stated and signed in the “Veterinary Treatment Authorization” form or to have the charges applied to their credit card on file by the veterinary office/hospital.


It is the policy of Amy’s Pet Sitting Service to obtain a 2 copies of your keys to all locked areas that will need to be accessed during the time of your service(s). This keys are to be given to the sitter at the time of the consultation. If 2 keys are not provided at the time of consultation and need to be picked up at a later date, a fee of $20 will be assessed. If only one key is provided, Owner will be charged a reasonable fee to make a single duplicate of the key. We require 2 keys so that your pets are always able to receive their care, even if the primary sitter has an emergency and can’t make it to the scheduled service. It is also the policy of Amy’s Pet Sitting Service to retain said keys until or unless the contract between the Owner and the Pet Sitter is terminated and no additional services are expected or needed. ALL keys are retained on a tag with only your pet’s name on them. This is done so that if a key should be lost or stolen it cannot be traced back to your home. If at anytime you would like your key returned you have three options; 1) pick up the keys at no cost to you; 2) we can mail you the keys at no cost to you; 3) we can deliver the keys to you for a $20 fee.


Pet Sitter will provide the services stated herein in a reliable, caring and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, Owner expressly waives and relinquishes any and all claims against Pet Sitter except those arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Pet Sitter. All Pet Sitters are licensed, bonded, insured and have clear background checks.


No term or provision of this contract shall be waived and no breach excused verbally. To be effective, each waiver or excuse shall be in writing and signed by the party who waived or excused.

1.Pet Sitter reserves the right to terminate this contract at any time before or during its term if Pet Sitter, in their sole discretion, determines that Owner’s Pet(s) pose a danger to the health and/or safety of Pet Sitter. If this occurs, Pet Sitter will notify the Owner immediately of the problem and determine whether Owner will return or if pet(s) will need to be placed in a kennel with all charges to be charged to the Owner.

2.Owner authorizes this signed contract to be valid approval for future services of any purposes provided by this contract permitting Pet Sitter to accept telephone reservations for service and to enter the premises to complete requested services without additional signed contracts or written authorization.
